General Description
SCC(Smart Cruise Control) is installed in front bumper left side. SCC detects target vehicle and calculates distance, relative velocity from target vehicle by using the radar sensor. For this, rader sensor should installed in parallel line with vehicle driving direction. Therefore it is essential performing sensor alignment after first installation of sensor or reinstall. In case of not performing sensor alignment, control accuracy of the SCC system can not be ensured. In case that sensor is installed first time or reinstall, SCC stores DTC code(P1620) to inform that sensor needs alignment.
DTC Description
SCC monitors sensor alignment stats. If alignment failed for various possible reasons or sensor has never been aligned before, SCC sets this code. Additionally, SCC ECU tries to set sensor alignment contineously. However , if the sensors alignment is out of ±3 degreethe SCC ECU sets DTC.
DTC Detecting Condition
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible cause |
DTC Strategy | sensor alignment monitoring
| Sensor alignment error Sensor has never been aligned before |
Enable Conditions | IG ON (When failed sensor alignment)
Vehicle speed is over 65km/h
|
Threshold value | Failed sensor alignment
No history of sensor alignment is completed after production
When Auto sensor alignment is over ±3 degree
|
Diagnosis Time | Immediately
|
Recover Condition | As soon as the sensor alignment is successful
|
Fail Safe | SCC Disengagement/Shutdown
Red SCC warning lamp turns on
