General Description

The EPB is the acronym for Electric Parking Brake system. Instead of using pedal or lever, using switch can apply parking brake. Drive controls switch ? switch signal to ECU ? ECU activate actuator ? parking brake Apply/Release. When EPB switch is pulled, parking brake gets Applied. When EPB switch is pushed down, parking brake is released.



DTC Description

EPB ECU sets DTC if EPB switch circuit or wiring has problem.

Switch is disconnected for more than 2seconds

Switch signal is apply or relase for more than 90 seconds (For apply, vehicle has to be stationary)

EPB function using switch inhibited
