General Description
The EPS (MDPS=Motor Driving Power Steering) is the system that supports a driver's steering force by an electric motor. An electric motor consumes much current when it operates. If a driver steers full turn to the left or right over 10 times at stop condition, it can be overheat. To protect MDPS system from malfunctioning by overheating, EPS CM restricts the operating current of a electric motor. Generally, when the operating current is limited, it feels like that steering force is heavy.
DTC Description
This code happens when a driver excessively steers at stop condition. At this time, clear DTC and wait for about 20 ~ 30 minutes with not steering. And then check if the steering force gets back to normal.
