General Description

The VSM is the Vehicle Stability Management system. This system controls its steering system and brake system on the center of ESP(Electronic Stability Program). As a result of that, it ultimately makes sure of its vehicle stability. The MDPS ECU exchanges various signals with HECU through CAN communication in order to control the VSM.



DTC Description

The HECU checks the CAN communcation lines for normal ESP control, and sets this code if a fault signal related to VSM2 message is detected.

Fault is set if a message count of VSM2 doesn't increase for more than 0.1 second.

Fault is set if a checksum of VSM2 message doesn't match with that of HECU for more than 0.1 second.

A fault message of VSM2 happens for more than 0.1 second.

Fail Safe

Limit DST(Dynamic Steering Torque) function. Allow ESP control.

The ESP warning lamp is not activated.
