General Description

Rear Side Impact Sensor(RSIS) is located in both side of C pillar detects broad collision.

When SIS delivers collision signal to SRSCM, SRSCM checks if safing sensor located in SRSCM detects collusion. and if both SIS and safing sensor detects collision simultaneously, SRSCM operates side air bag.

Pressure-Side Impact Sensor and Rear Side Impact Sensor are installed in the left and the right side of front door and in the lower of C-pillar respectively.The Pressure-Side Impact Sensor senses an impact based on an acceleration at crashing. Unlike the

If you strike or spin the SRSCM at the IG “ON” state, the seat-belt pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.



DTC Description

The SRSCM sets DTC B1413 if there is any error in communication between RPSIS and SRSCM.
