The crankshaft angular sensor detects and counts the teeth on the crankshaft and provides ECM with the information on the current position of crank angle and cylinder. This signal is fed to ECM to be used to determine the engine speed and adjust the fuel injection timing. The camshaft position sensor detects the teeth target wheel and provides ECM with the information on the current position of piston and cylinder. This signal is fed to ECM to be used to determine the sequence of fuel injection. In case of the crankshaft angular sensor or the camshaft position sensor failure, the engine symptoms will occur a running engine stall, starting impossible and rough idle with noise.
P 0336 code triggers if the CKP does not indicate two missing teeth on the tone wheel in exactly the same position for two successive revolutions. P 0341/P0343 codes indicate unexpected CMP signal while the engine is rotating. If the conditions occur during two driving cycles, these codes is set. P1300 code indcate the synchronization error between the CKP signal and the CMP signal. during two driving cycles, these codes is set.
DTC NO.

P 0336
P 0341
P 0343
P 1300
? P 0336
Error is recognized (Dynamic plausibility) if the crank angular acceleration or deceleration is out of allowed limits
? P 0341
Error is recognized (Cam signal static defection) if the cam signal fail at the condition of crank signal generation.
? P 0343
Error is recognized if the cam signal frequency detect too many edges
? P 1300
Error is recognized if the rpm of the cam signal and the rpm of the crank signal are abnormal correlatively
